Free plans allow 1 step. Basic supports up to 3. Pro plans have no limit — add as many sequential approvers as your process requires.

Expired links can no longer be used. Re-trigger the approval to generate fresh links. You can configure expiry from 1 hour to 30 days per chain.

Yes. Every action is logged as an update on the monday.com item with timestamps — who approved, when, and any comments. Audit trail CSV export is on the near-term roadmap.

monday automations work for single-step approvals, but break on anything more complex. They don't support external approvers without seats, don't keep a clean audit trail, and can't handle multi-step chains. EasyFlow picks up where automations stop.

The chain stops, the item status updates to "Rejected," and the requester is notified via email with the reason and any comments the approver left.
